Coronavirus Advice
from the Global Accord

Global Cancer Accord

Teenage Cancer Trust has built an Advice and Resources Hub for young people with cancer in the UK. This includes information on Coronavirus and the potential health implications for young people with cancer. It also includes useful information for people who are self-isolating, healthy living and wellbeing tips and links to other useful UK-based resources.

Canteen Australia and the Youth Cancer Services (YCS) have developed a series of COVID-19 resources including a video where Paediatric and Adolescent Oncologist, Dr Antoinette Anazodo, answers the most pressing COVID-19 questions from young cancer patients and their families. Visit the website for other useful information from across the YCS network and beyond.

Teen Cancer America has been working with 6 AYA advocacy organizations (including survivors) and leading health professionals to create a 'one-stop-shop' website for young people and the health professionals that treat them. One part of the website has lots of support information about the many organizations that can be helpful during this Coronavirus crisis and the other part is packed with guidelines that have been internationally peer reviewed. The need for this website was born out of advocacy groups communicating that finding a way around the plethora of information was becoming too difficult together with the professional leaders in disease areas seeing that normal treatment protocols might have to be changed for young people with cancer that have or have had the virus. (see pdf for this info).
